Program 675 of our continuing syndicated serial "Monticello Party Line" was originally broadcast April 29, 1938 and sponsored by Dr. Caldwell's Syrup Pepsin. In this episode, Clem, Aggie and Curley talk about what they might do with a million dollars after hearing about a radio contest.
At the end of the show, our announcer notes that, for the first time, the show is going on hiatus for the summer and will return in the fall - the program had been broadcast for three or four years at that point. Next week, we'll pick up where we left off with program 676 - the early shows from after the summer 1938 break include some character intros and plot recaps that will get you up to speed on the series.
